Cookie Policy

Effective date: October 28, 2026 · Version 1.0

This Cookie Policy explains how Allu Limited, trading as Fmly.Club, uses cookies and similar browser storage. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

The short version

In production, Fmly.Club sets no first-party cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies at all. Because the only browser storage we use is strictly necessary to make the app work, we do not show a cookie consent banner. Instead of cookies, the app keeps your household data in your browser's local storage on your device.

Local storage the app uses

Your board is kept in your browser's local storage, not in cookies. The main keys are:

  • the-board:v1 - your whole board: members, chores, completions, calendar, rewards, points, the household's one-way PIN hash, owner email, and settings.
  • the-board:device-id - a locally generated identifier for this device, used for backup, sync, and access control.
  • the-board:access-token - the token this device uses to authenticate with our sync service when backup, recovery, or sync is in use.
  • A handful of supporting keys for sync progress and health, the timestamp of your last backup, and small interface preferences (for example, which calendar view you last used).

The app also uses session storage (cleared when the tab closes) for short-lived flags, such as the 15-minute window after you enter your PIN and a temporary lockout after too many wrong PIN attempts. None of this storage is sent to us on its own; data only reaches our servers through backup, recovery, or sync.

Service worker cache

Fmly.Club installs a service worker so it can load and work offline. It stores app files and some page and data responses in your browser's Cache Storage on your device only; nothing in that cache is transmitted to us. Cached responses can include your household content, so clearing site data (below) also clears this cache.

Third-party cookies

When you subscribe to or manage Pro, we send you to Stripe's own hosted checkout and customer portal pages. Stripe may set its own cookies on those Stripe-hosted pages to process your payment securely and prevent fraud; those cookies are set by Stripe on Stripe's domain, not by us on ours. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies through any third party.

How to clear your data

You can clear Fmly.Club's local storage, session storage, and cache at any time from your browser's settings - usually under "Clear browsing data", "Site settings", or "Cookies and site data" for fmly.club.

Warning: clearing site data erases your board from that device. If your board exists only on your device (it has not been backed up or synced to our servers), it cannot be recovered. Download a copy of your data first from Manage, then Your data, then Download your data. See our Privacy Policy for more on data loss.

Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce cookies or similar technologies that require your consent (for example, analytics or advertising cookies), we will show a consent banner and update this page before doing so. We will post any update here with a new effective date and version number.
